My Hairstory
Born in the Bronx and raised in Staten Island, New York, Monica has been recently widowed and is a proud mother of 4 college graduates.
She has been Braiding and Styling Natural Hair for over 2 decades.
Her work has been displayed in Hair, Beauty
and Fashion Magazines in the United States
and Internationally.

She has also taught at various Beauty schools and several Salons the Basics of Braiding.
She received her Barbering license in 1989 at Wilford Academy School of Beauty in Staten Island, New York.
While pursuing her career as a Barber, Braider, and Merchandising for several Beauty Supply Stores in the Upstate and New York City area, She received her Master's of Science in Chemistry at New York University in 2000.
Now residing in Rochester, New York in her spare time she loves to volunteer at Organizations to help Women in Transition and Teens at Risk in both Rochester
and New York City.
In the future, she would also like to expand her services which includes :
Natural Nail and Skin Care
Creating her own Natural Hair Care Line
And last but not the least off her list
workshops for Women in transition and teens at risk in her community.
